Frequently asked questions

Which payment methods can I use?
You can pay in this webshop with iDeal (Netherlands), credit card, advance bank transfer, PayPal and Sofort Banking (Germany).

Will my order be sent immediately if I pay by bank transfer?
No, in that case we first wait until we’ve received the transfer. Until that time, your order will remain 'pending'.

What are the shipping costs?
Within the Netherlands, a regular shipment costs €7,69. Outside the Netherlands, this depends on the destination country.

What is the delivery time?
The delivery time, from placing your order until the package is delivered to your home, is approximately 20 working days or 3 to 5 weeks. Because there are several parties involved in the process and we ship worldwide, we’re unable to provide a fixed delivery time. This differs for each order.

Can I specify a different shipping and billing address?
That isn’t possible for the time being. To protect our customers from online fraud, both addresses must be the same.

Do I have to pay VAT or import duties if I place an order from abroad?
We make every effort to minimise any import duties, taxes and brokerage costs. However, depending on the destination country of your order, import duties, taxes and agency fees may still be charged. Our shipping costs are only for shipment, and do not include these extra costs. Contact the carrier and customs authority in your country for more information.

What is the quality of my 3D print?
The quality of the final print is high as the example 3D prints which are shown next to the scanner. The preview you see here in the webshop is not the final product. That is why we always refer to the physical examples on location. The preview will be updated manually after your order, with irregularities and/or missing parts (for example, legs that are not fully visible) being restored. The 3D print is then made of plastic. Due to the digital conversion of colors in combination with the 3D printing process, colors may differ slightly from the photo. The material allows many details to be seen in the figure. The larger the size, the more details you see. Whichever format you choose, the same applies to all formats: it is a unique, real mini-version of yourself.

Does my 3D figurine break easily?
While the figurine is reasonably robust, it isn’t a toy. We therefore recommend keeping it out of the reach of children. Always take care if the figurine breaks, since this might lead to sharp edges.

How do I ensure my 3D image remains beautiful?
The plastic figurines are resistant to UV light and moisture. This way you can even place your sculpture outside. Although it is not a toy, they can take a (small) hit. The figurines contain more than 10,000,000 colors and are therefore beautiful in color.

How can I unsubscribe and remove my scan(s)?
By filling out the request for removal you can unsubscribe and all your data, including the scans that are registered on this email address, will be removed. Attention, once the scandata is removed, you will no longer be able to order figurines or view the previews.

How long will my data and scans be stored?
We store your data for a maximum of 12 months (1 year) from the scanning date. After that, your data will always be deleted automatically. Unfortunately, it is not possible or allowed to keep your data stored for a longer period of time.

Can I return my 3D figurine if I am not satisfied?
Due to the personal nature of the product, it is unfortunately not possible to return the figurine if you are not satisfied. This is also included in the general terms and conditions that you can view before placing the order in our webshop. If there is a breakage or a demonstrable production error (for example a stain in the print), please send an email with a photo and explanation to info@madurodam.nl so that we can help you further.
